Thomas has worked in mental health since 2008, and opened Healing Work Counseling PLLC in 2019. As opposed to working as an employee or managing staff, he prefers to work as an independent expert. Thomas is one of the few mental health counselors in the country who specializes in issues related to the workplace. Some of his past corporate clients include a Colorado-based conglomeration of health care clinics, and one of the largest health insurance agencies in the country. Thomas is the innovator of the Empowered Work Counseling therapeutic treatment model for issues related to the workplace.
